Counterfeit medicines are a growing and global problem. Therefore, legal regulations are being implemented across several countries. Some are already enforced while others are being implemented.
In the US, the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) outlines key steps toward building an electronic, interoperable system for the identification and traceability of prescription medicines sold in the United States. The law is implemented gradually with the final implementation by November 27, 2023. By then the new law replaces all existing national regulations.
PPS business partner Laetus has made a detailed guide to secure DSCSA Compliance, including a checklist for getting ready for DSCSA implementation.
