IMA XTREMA High speed filling & stoppering machine

The main concern of the pharmaceutical packaging market has always been the integrity of the drug, and, in the case of parenteral dosage forms, its sterility. XTREMA indeed embodies the latest technological breakthrough in aseptic filling.

During the aseptic filling of dose containers with a drug, essential is preventing its contamination, thus minimizing its exposure to environment, equipment, manipulation from operators, etc., until it’s sealing.

XTREMA fundamental characteristics respond to the industry’s stringent technical requirements of vial filling, and with its flexible and ergonomic design it assures the most complete possibility to integrate modular equipment, and, why not, even to install multiple filling systems (liquids & powders) to be used alternatively within the same machine frame.

IMA EASYFILL Filling and stoppering machine

Designed to meet the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry in aseptic processing, EASYFILL is the right answer when a high degree of flexibility and modularity is required in sterile liquid filling.

Easyfill is a liquid filling and stoppering machine for vials, both small and large-volume parenterals, available in two models to satisfy medium and high-speed requirements.

The machine features a positive intermittent-motion, linear transport and brushless motors for precise movements. It can be equipped with all types of dosing systems typically used for aseptic products and with a checkweighing system composed of load cells for tare weight detection before filling and load cells for gross weight detection after dosing.

  • No vial – no fill – no stoppering control device.
  • Insertion of rubber stoppers for both liquid solutions and freeze-dried products.
  • Suitable for integration with 100% In-Process Control.

IMA ADAPTA Capsule filler

The ADAPTA’s DNA has its roots in IMA’s 60 years of experience and more than 6,000 capsule fillers worldwide. Multi product dosing at high speed, flexible configuration, 100% weight control are the hallmarks of a machine which is unique in the market.

Deep knowledge has allowed the IMA capsule fillers to evolve and adapt to the ever changing requirements of the market. ADAPTA is extremely innovative and able to dose powder, pellets, tablets, mini tablets and liquids into hard gelatine capsules.

  • Exceptional design flexibility: dosing units are reversible/interchangeable enabling plug and play shift between different machine configurations and capsule filling combinations.
  • Multi product dosing at high speed: designed to dose 3 products (up to 5 upon request) into the same capsule.
  • Total in-process control: with the appropriate options, total production control is achieved thanks to individual product dosage checking and 100% control of gross and/or net weight.

IMA HERMETICA Capsule banding machine

Suitable for tamper-evident capsule sealing, HERMETICA, born from experience that began in the 1970s, has an ergonomic layout guaranteeing maximum visibility and best accessibility to each phase of the process.

HERMETICA fits the purpose of sealing capsules filled with liquid, powder or other products. Banding is achieved through the application of a liquid gelatine ring on the external surface of the capsule.

  • Good accessibility and easy operations: balcony structure, low positioning of capsule feeding unit and exit chute.
  • Two rollers with independent speed regulation for double application of the gelatine band.
  • Pre-drying unit to guarantee fast fixing of the gelatine band before transferring the capsules into the drying box.

IMA ZANASI & ZANASI PLUS Capsule fillers

Designed in the 1970s, ZANASI and ZANASI PLUS are IMA’s first automatic capsule fillers to have made history. Still sought-after for their simple configuration, they offer maximum versatility in terms of combined dosing within the same capsule.

ZANASI and ZANASI PLUS are able to dose powder, pellets, tablets, mini tablets and liquids into hard gelatine capsules, depending on machine configuration and installed dosing units. And the hallmark of these machines is their user-friendliness appreciated by operators.

  • Combined dosing of various products with excellent results in terms of dosing accuracy and speed.
  • Easy access to the working area.
  • Ergonomic interface: skilled operators are not required to run this machine.

IMA LYNFINITY Continuos aseptic spray-freeze-drying

Raising productivity and reducing downtime is now possible in a continuous aseptic process, with constant monitoring from fermentation to final packaging.

LYnfinity spray-freeze-drying process features a controlled spray of liquid product into a cryogenically cooled freezing chamber. The resultant frozen particles of the liquid product are freeze-dried in the drying module. The drying chamber contents are both transported and heated to promote rapid sublimation and prevent agglomeration.

The continuous spray-freeze-drying process starts with bulk liquid product and ends with the discharge of dried particles, featuring total containment from formulation to powder filling. This enables higher sterility assurance levels, whereas traditional freeze-drying requires additional external material handling, for example during filling. Upon completion of drying, the uniform, dried spherical product allows for the use of a variety of containers (vials, syringes, inhalation systems etc.).
