PPS A/S Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct includes ethical, social, and environmental guidelines that guide us in conducting our business in the best possible way, to meet our social responsibility and our ambition to contribute to sustainable development.

In short, this means that we strive to act according to a common set of rules, and we also strive to ensure that suppliers and business partners adhere to the same guidelines.

Legislation

In addition to our Code of Conduct, we expect our employees to comply with all applicable national and international laws, regulations, and industry standards.

We respect and support all fundamental human rights and expect employees and partners to adhere to the principles described in the UN Global Compact, based on the UN Declaration of Human Rights, the ILO’s convention on worker’s rights, and the OECD’s anti-bribery convention.

Working conditions and workplace environment

All employees are hired according to applicable Danish legislation, including rules on vacation, sick leave, and maternity leave. PPS ensures that written, understandable, and legally binding employment contracts are in place with employees. PPS respects its employees’ right to organize in, for example, labor unions and their right to collective bargaining.

PPS works to promote diversity and equality. No employee may be discriminated against or harassed based on, for example, age, gender, disability, religion, ethnicity, political belief, sexual orientation, or any other status.

PPS respects the individual’s right to freedom of speech. PPS has a flat organizational structure with short lines of communication to management, where open dialogue is welcome, whether it is dissatisfaction with working conditions or something else. PPS respects its employees’ right to organize, for example, in labor unions.

PPS actively works for a good working environment, both physically and psychosocially, with the overall goal of a safe and healthy workplace. PPS provides necessary aids for correct ergonomic work, necessary safety equipment, and courses for relevant employees. The use of alcohol or drugs is not allowed during working hours.

Business ethics and corruption

PPS does not tolerate any form of corruption, discrimination, harassment, anti-competitive behavior, or unnecessary environmental impact.

Corruption includes, but is not limited to, bribery, fraud, and money laundering. Bribery can, in addition to cash and securities, take the form of services and gifts of unreasonable and unusually high value.

The above does not prevent us from maintaining and promoting good business relationships with customers and partners, as long as any benefits exchanged are moderate and exchanged openly and otherwise in accordance with this Code of Conduct.

PPS respects and supports open markets and fair competition. We always act in accordance with applicable competition law. PPS may not exploit information or enter into agreements with competitors, customers, or suppliers in a way that risks hindering, limiting, or distorting competition in the market.

Environment

PPS aims to operate its business with consideration for the environment and climate, and we comply at a minimum with the requirements outlined in laws, regulations, and international agreements regarding the reduction of emissions and discharges into air, soil, or water.

We are committed to reducing the company’s climate impact and actively work to reduce our CO2 emissions, currently using exclusively green energy from wind turbines. Our goal is to become CO2 negative through the installation of solar panels on our building.

We support sustainable and environmentally friendly use of resources and consider the climate and environmental impact when purchasing products and services. We avoid unnecessary purchases, strive to minimize waste, find opportunities for reuse and resource sharing, and correctly sort our waste.

Information security and confidentiality

PPS handles personal information strictly confidentially and in accordance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and all other relevant laws and regulations on data handling and protection.

PPS also processes other confidential or sensitive information concerning or belonging to our customers, partners, employees, or others with whom we work. This is also done with the utmost confidentiality and with all relevant measures for protection against abuse.

Suppliers and business partners

When PPS selects and evaluates suppliers and business partners, it is a criterion that they match the guidelines and principles stated in our Supplier Code of Conduct, available here.

Violation and consequences

PPS makes all employees, managers, and members of the board aware that a violation of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal. In cases where a breach of the Code of Conduct is a violation of the law, it may result in legal action.
