The high-performance double-sided rotary press comes in proven Kilian quality and complements Romaco Kilian’s portfolio of high-productivity tablet presses for both mono-layer and bi-layer mode. The technology also supports the compressing of effervescent tablets and thus is suitable to connect to a packaging line.
The Kilian Prime family of tablet presses are used by pharmaceutical, food and chemical manufacturers around the world. With a maximum output of 1,020,000 tablets per hour, the Kilian S 710 Prime is classed as a high-speed press.
Excellent OEE values
This cost-effective solution from Romaco Kilian proves excellent value for money and high overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). It is designed with availability, performance and quality as top priorities. The Kilian S 710 Prime offers fast product changes, short cleaning times and long maintenance intervals, ensuring optimal availability and practically no downtime. In particular, the hermetic separation between the compaction and “grey” areas speeds up cleaning of the tablet press after every batch. Owing to the interchangeable die-table, the Kilian S 710 Prime is also very versatile.
High performance and outstanding product quality
Kilian’s proven fill shoe design and asymmetrical hopper improve the product flow. This is a big advantage when handling powders with poor flow properties. Furthermore, the Kilian S 710 Prime’s brake magnet technology restricts the relative standard deviation to a minimum during tableting, so that consistently high product quality is guaranteed.
The coated tablet chute is inclined 40 degrees and allows the tablets to be transported without any problems even at very high processing speeds or with critical tablet geometries. The universal tablet scraper can be used for any tablet format. By repositioning the fill shoe drive and gear outside the compaction area, the process temperatures were reduced, and ideal production conditions created. Finally, with durable pressure rollers and components the Kilian S 710 Prime also offers reduced maintenance costs.
Kilian enables more sustainability
Romaco Kilian’s tablet presses are designed to make a systematic contribution to minimizing product loss during tableting. With the combination of precision-manufactured die-tables with hardly any radial run-out and magnetic product scrapers, the result is a more sustainable production.
Kilian also supports the careful use of natural resources by using robust and durable components. Moreover, the Kilian S 710 Prime has fewer product-contacted parts resulting in less effort necessary for cleaning. This essentially saves time and money, reduces energy consumption and eases the burden on the environment.
